As a kid, I loved to go to Disneyland. Every time we drove into the parking lot there was an expectation that was created that built up as we approach the gates. You knew that your experience at Disneyland was going to be a time of fun and excitement. Walt Disney figured out that if you have a fun and exciting time, you will want to return with friends.
I believe that we can, and should value our kidz enough to create that type of environment of fun and excitement right here in our own church. We need to do it in such a way that they are so taken by the beauty of who God is, that they want to become just like Him. Our purpose is not to entertain your kidz. Our purpose is to capture them in such a way that opens the door for us to paint such a clear picture of who Jesus is. Discoveryland is not just a renovation of a building, it is also a renovation of a philosophy. We believe that Discoveryland was created for the purpose of allowing our kidz and students to discover who God is and who they are truly designed to be. Every person wants to know that their life has purpose and meaning. So we want to create an atmosphere where they can be captured by the greatness of who God is, and allow them to be taken on the greatest adventure that they have ever encountered.
