Nursery
Lovingly nicknamed "New to Two", our Nursery is a warm, nurturing place for your babies to rest, play, and to be as noisy as they please during our Weekend Worship Services and our mid-week classes.
The Parents are welcome to use it as a nursing area or Mother's Room. We have the Weekend Worship Service playing live on the remote TV, so you won't miss a thing.
As is the case in ALL Children's Ministry areas, SJA has a background check done for all Nursery workers-- 18 and older.
Safety and the happiness of our babies is always of utmost importance to us-- we were the first department to implement the Parent Pager system at SJA.
This is our sign-in procedure
Only adults are allowed to sign-in the babies. The adult who signed-in the baby is given a numbered vibrating pager to carry on their person. Only the adult who signed-in the baby can retrieve the baby!!! No pager-- no baby!!! This is to ensure that the child is with the person they are supposed to be with!!!
How and why you'd be contacted during service or class
One of the workers will enter the number of your vibrating pager into the transmitter if your baby is upset and unable to be comforted, or if your toddler is aggressive toward another child, or if there's been an injury. When your pager vibrates, you must come immediately to the Nursery to answer your page.
Finally
Since our LORD made it plain to "Treat others the way you would want to be treated", we do not allow any children or workers to be in the Nursery who are ill.
