Weekly Prayer Project

Eagle Vision

Each week we lift up various local, national and world leaders in prayer and support. Please join us in your prayer time and pray for these leaders.

Here is a thank you message from our Weekly Prayer Project that we thought you might like. Thank you for continuing to pray for our leaders.

Gordon & all,
I am continually grateful for your congregation's leadership and ministry throughout the Valley, and I am pleased to worship with you about half of the Sunday's I have "off." Thank you also for your encouragement and prayers, for including me occasionally in the Eagle Vision prayer list -- and for the nice restaurant gift.
You're in my prayers, too, with thanks to God for this time and place we serve together. See you somewhere around town. Blessings in the meantime!
Gary Fowler, First Christian Church, Hemet

A note of appreciation

Thank you, Pastor Gordon, for your kind letter dated June 12th stating I was added to the Eagle Vision prayer list. The end of the school year is always a good time for extra prayers, and your partnership with our district is much appreciated.
Best wishes
Lucinda

Just a Note

Thank you for the beautiful weekly connection!! Though it says it is volumne 14, no. 681, from April, it just got to us! Mail is SLOW here! Smile! At least it gets here...er usually!
We so appreciate who you are, what you do, and the commitment to God, and the community as well as to us in far flug places. I wish we could talk again. You both have determined to connect and reach people in different areas of society and be Jesus to them. What a witness.
Well, we will share a few items from our lives. I was goiong to write a testimony of a tribal couple who just got their first, very first Bible but it ended up too long. I have to learn to edit better.
Thank you for prayers for Colombia. There are new adventures and new opportunities in cities, towns and tribal villages. We continue with visitation and counselling to pastors and leaders, and the Bible School program with its extensions is reaching far and wide, for which we praise the Lord! The testimonies of changed lives is exciting!
We have been able to join two "mother churches" on the North Coast this year in activiteis to plant a "daughter church" in an other area. Last week we were really grateful to God for the openess of the people as we went door to door witnessing and engaged in long fruitful conversations in a town about an hour away. Thank you for praying.
The mountain tribes nearby really need prayer for people to come to the Lord. There are few known believers among them. And to those who walk with Him, the persecution is increasing. There are Chrisitan workers living among them and we pray for fruit that remains, as well as a deep work of the Holy Spirit.
We are part of a team that both trains Colombian churches in missions as well trains crosscultural Colombian missionaries for Colombia and the world. One new missionary left for the field in SE Asia in May. Another family leaves next month for Central Asia and another will return to minister in two tribes in Peru. What a joy to be a part of this. There are now 15 projects!!! These are all supported by Colombians.
Judy is beginning to wrote a textbook for Bible Schools that helps prepare people for crooscultural understanding and ministry. pray for guidance for her.
A continuing deep concern for us is the fact that Colombia has 102 tribes within her borders. Of them, nine have churches among them that can reproduce and 57 have had no known witness of Jesus Christ. How then, can they have communion with the Father? Please pray for workers and for strategies of the Spirit for them. This is another conuing focus for us.
With you, exalting Jesus,
Steve and Judy Graner, Missionaries

Dear San Jacinto Assembly,
Last spring you sent me a note to let me know I was added to your prayer guide "Eagle Vision."
I very much appreciate the prayers by the people of your congregation. I want you to know that I am warmed and comforted by your prayers.
God has richly blessed me as He lifted me to this post.
Sincerely,
Ed Schafer
